Deluxe Colt Medium Frame Lightning Slide Action Rifle
Serial no. 21600, .32 W.C.F. caliber, 26-inch browned octagonal barrel with combination
folding Beech-type front sight, blanked mid-sight and tang-mounted, Lyman no. 15, flip-up
rear peep sight. Blued open-top frame with crisp rampant Colt logo on left side.
Case-hardened hammer. Fire-blued adjustable trigger. Sliding safety in triggerguard.
Finely checkered deluxe marble-grained walnut fore-end and pistol-grip stock with vacant
oval escutcheon on bottom side of buttstock. Crescent butt. Bright bore.
Condition: Excellent as partially refinished. Barrel and magazine
retaining 95-98% rebrowned finish with a tiny area of wear and pitting on right side of
barrel near muzzle. Frame, triggerguard and buttplate retaining approximately 70-80%
bright blue finish with wear to relief edges, bottom of frame and gripstrap. Buttplate
with case-hardening fading to plum and light wear to edges. Wood excellent with scattered
wear and minor marks.
