Fine U.S. Martially Marked Colt Second Model New Hampshire Militia Dragoon Revolver
Serial no. 11130, .44 caliber percussion cylinder; 7 1/2-inch part round, part
octagonal barrel marked ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY within brackets; COLTS/PATENT/U.S.
in tiny letters stamped on left side of frame; Texas Rangers and Comanche Indian fight
cylinder roll scene; straight mainspring; blued with case-hardened hammer, loading lever
and frame; plain brass gripstraps and squareback triggerguard; oil-finished walnut grips.
U.S. Ordnance inspector stamping JCB within cartouche on left grip panel; right panel with
WAT inspector stamping in cartouche. Individual inspector letter stampings on various
parts of B and C. Matching number 130 on bottom of wedge and on bottom of front of
cylinder pin; matching number 1130 on top of loading lever lug. NEW HAMPSHIRE stamped on
left side of barrel lug.
Condition: Fine. Brown patina to steel parts; minor pitting; cylinder
with sharp roll scene; traces case-hardening; cylinder safety pins mashed; gripstraps with
mellow patina; grips with minor wear and nicks. Light pitting in bore.
