Deluxe V. Bernardelli Double Barrel Side-by-Side Deluxe Sidelock Shotgun, Gold-Inlaid
and Engraved with Deluxe Stocks
Serial no. 461, 12 gauge, 25 3/4-inch barrels, with matted solid rib, cylinder chokes,
automatic ejectors, hinged front trigger, manual safety, splinter fore-end with Anson
& Deeley button fore-end release; profusely floral and border engraved, with gold
inlaid floral motifs on breech and lockplates; cocking indicators. High gloss blued
barrels, with gray-finished breech and full sidelocks; engine turned on water table,
bottom of barrel lugs, inside surface of fore-end mounts. Varnished and checkered select
walnut pistolgrip stock with composition buttplate of grooved and monogrammed horn. Length
of pull, approximately 14 1/2-inches. Barrel wall thickness gauge readings, left, 9-in.
from breech, .046-.056-in., right, .047-.057-in.; left, 9-in from muzzle, .030-.034-in.,
right, .035-.044-in.
Condition: Very good to fine. Spotted rust; needs careful cleaning;
mechanically sound; bores fine. Stocks with light nicks and wear.
