DWM 1902 LUGER CARBINE. Cal. 30 Luger. SN 23613. Rare Luger, one of only about 2,500 produced in the early 1900s, made for the market in Germany and elsewhere. It has an 11-3/4 tapered rnd bbl with ramp front sight and 300 meter rear sight. It has the old type toggle system & extractor with dished toggles. It has a small checkered schnable tipped forearm secured with a single wedge through German silver escutcheons, with a factory installed sling swivel about mid-point. It has a grip safety and full checkered walnut grips and a stainless body magazine with unmarked wood base. Accompanied by its matching numbered orig stock with serrated horn buttplate and sling swivel in bottom. There are no proofmarks on pistol, which is normal, as they can be found with & without proofmarks. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching except grips & magazine which are properly unnumbered. Forearm is also without a number. Bbl and receiver retain 97-98% strong orig blue with a few small spots of pitting. Frame retains most of its orig factory blue with a few scattered spots of fine pitting. Overall retains about 75% straw colors. Grips are crisp with light diamond point wear and a couple of chipped diamonds on right side. Stock & forearm are sound with minor nicks & scratches and retains most of their orig factory finish with some bug damage to buttplate.
