"DWM 1906 ARGENTINIAN NAVY LUGER. SN 25929. Cal. 9 mm. Extraordinarily rare Luger with 6" bbl, long frame, DWM scroll on front toggle link, and Argentinian crest over chamber. The extractor is marked "CARGADO" and safe position is marked "SEGURO". It has commercial "BUG" proofs on bbl & "BU" proofs on receiver, breech block & front toggle link and has a grip safety. Mounted with full checkered walnut grips & accompanied by an unnumbered commercial Navy magazine with concentric rings on wooden base. An extremely rare Luger, this is one of only 2 genuine ones known to exist by Mr. Smith. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Overall retains about 95% orig blue & about 40% orig straw colors. Majority of wear is at muzzle edge & sharp edges with a wear spot over chamber area & some thinning of sideplate. Grip safety is a blue/gray patina. Grips are clean & sharp showing light wear with a few scattered chipped diamonds & still shows good wood grain. Magazine is extremely fine with one minor chip. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore with a few spots of minor frosting. An extremely rare pistol & probably the only one to ever come to market. 4-36121 JR185 & BS (30,000-50,000)"
