Unusual Ornate 19th Century French Dagger
9 1/2-inch tapered blade with raised median ridge. Blade etched with floral scrolls and
motto: Son Diep. Cast brass crossguard with scroll-shaped quillons. Ornate relief-carved
one-piece ivory grip with floral scrolls and diced panels. Steel scabbard with ring mount.
Condition: Very good. Blade with grey patina and scattered light
pitting. Crossguard with age patina. Languets broken. Grip with mellow age patina.
Scabbard with scattered pitting and grey patina.
