Rare Deluxe Engraved Pecare & Smith Ten-Shot Pepperbox with Low Serial Number,
Dragoon Size Brass Frame and Ivory Grips
Serial no. 4 (on internal parts and on barrel cluster), , .28 caliber, 10-shot, 3
5/8-inch round and ribbed barrel cluster with silver-plated brass sheet cover screwed to
frame; AH and 4 on one of barrel ribs; profusely scroll and border engraved frame and
backstrap; double action with folding trigger; blued, with frame appearing to have been
bright-polished brass rather than plated; ivory grips.
Condition: Very good. Brown patina to steel, wear and pitting; cracks
on left grip panel.
