Pocket Size Philadelphia Deringer by Henry Deringer, Rare in Large Caliber
.45 caliber percussion, barrel breech and lock marked DERINGER/PHILADELA; German silver
band inlays at barrel breech, made without P breech stamping; 2 1/2-inch barrel with
faceted top, simulated damascus finish; German silver mounts. Engraved lock and mounts and
barrel tang. Case-hardened lock, hammer and upper tang. Overall length 5 1/2-inches.
Condition: Fine to excellent. 95% finish on barrel; 90%
case-hardening; 85% varnish, light flaking, dent in front of butt.
