Fine and Rare Peanut Size Philadelphia Deringer by Henry Deringer
.39 caliber percussion, barrel breech and lock marked DERINGER/PHILADELA; German silver
band inlays at barrel breech with P within sunburst motif; 1 3/4-inch barrel with faceted
top, simulated damascus finish; case-hardened lock and hammer, as well as upper tang to
barrel. German silver mounts; capbox in butt. Engraved lock and mounts and barrel tang.
Overall length 4-inches.
Condition: Excellent. 90% barrel finish; brown patina to steel;
traces case-hardening. Stock with 85% varnish, flaking.
