Excellent Cased Whitney Second Model Pocket Percussion Revolver
Serial no. 9080, .31 caliber percussion, 5-shot cylinder with roll engraved decoration,
4-inch octagonal barrel, with maker and address marking on top; blued with silver-plated
brass triggerguard; case-hardened hammer and loading lever; varnished walnut grips.
Varnished mahogany case with burgundy velvet lining; accessories of American eagle and
shield powder flask, bright steel bullet mold, can tin and packet combustible envelope
cartridges.
Condition: Excellent. 95% blue on barrel and cylinder; roll scene
fine, cylinder with tracking lines; 70% finish on frame; 90% case-hardening; 99% varnish
remain on grips. Light storage marks and minor patina. Case excellent with light nicks on
exterior.
