Rare Fine Whitney Pocket Model Percussion Revolver, Second Model, First Type
Serial no. C 10492, .31 caliber percussion, 5-shot cylinder with roll engraved
decoration, 4-inch octagonal barrel, with maker and address marking on top; blued with
silver-plated brass triggerguard; case-hardened hammer and loading lever; varnished walnut
grips.
Condition: Excellent. 90% blue on barrel and cylinder; tracking lines
on latter; scene fine but rolled on lightly; 45% case-hardening; traces silver; gray
patina to frame with traces blue; excellent grips retain 95% varnish.
