Rare Boxed Frank Wesson Medium Frame Third Type Single-Shot Pistol, with Shoulder
Stock.
Serial no. 123, .32 rimfire 20-inch octagonal barrel, with target sights including
hooded bead front; blued, with nickel-plated frame, case-hardened hammer, and varnished
rosewood grips; nickel-plated brass skeleton attachable shoulder stock serial numbered to
match. Maker, Worcester address and patent date marking on left side of barrel; 123 number
on barrel presently attached to frame. Pasteboard box with illustrated green label on top,
including notation: "Sportsman's Jewel." Wood and steel cleaning rods.
Condition: Excellent. 95% blue overall with some faded areas; 100%
nickel, light marks and fading; 50% case-hardening; fading and light patina to shoulder
stock; box fine with light wear, marks, and slight warping; separation at one corner of
lid.
