Civilian Colt Third Model Dragoon Percussion Revolver
Serial no. 19511, .44 caliber, 8-inch barrel marked: Address Saml Colt New York City.
Numeral "2" stamped on left side of lug near frame. Standard cylinder scene with
etched legend: Model U.S.M.R/Colt's Patent. Left side of frame marked: Colt's/Patent. Left
side of triggerguard stamped "G". Butt of gripstrap crudely inscribed: M Price.
One-piece walnut grips. Right grip carved with 6 fine line notches.
Condition: Very good. Metal showing dark brown age patina with
scattered traces of blue finish remaining in protected areas, the majority faded to plum
brown. Brass with light age patina. Grips very good to excellent with a few minor dents
and bruises. Action excellent. A handsome and appealing example.
