Serial no. 267638. 16/16 gauge x 8x57JR. 21 3/4-inch barrels. Matted flat rib with
automatic flip-up sight and retailer's name: J. A. Frank, Settin. Coin-finished scalloped
boxlock action engraved with floral details. Cocking indicators. Front set-trigger. Rifle
barrel selector on tang. Greener-style side safety. Greener-style crossbolt.
Finely checkered pistolgrip stock of slightly figured walnut. Cheekpiece. Maker's hard
rubber buttplate. Finely checkered splinter fore-end with Deeley-style release. Sling
swivels. Rib with claw-mounts and Leupold Vari-X III 1.5-5 telescopic sight with stepped
crosshairs.
Condition: Excellent, as refinished. Barrels show 99% reblued finish.
Both barrels show ring bulges at muzzle. Right barrel shows a trace of a dent on
underside. Bright shotgun bores. Rifle bore shows well-defined rifling with some frosting.
Triggerguard and toplever show 98% reblued finish. Re-finished stock shows slight repair
on left side at head. Refinished fore-end. Wood shows recut checkering. Telescopic sight
in excellent condition with clear optics.
