Serial no. 44220. 12 x 12 gauge by (possibly) 38-55. 30-inch Damascus barrels with
matted flat rib with doll's head extension. Manual flip-up rear sight. Border-engraved
casehardened side-lever action. Back-action locks. Extractor. Top lever rifle barrel
selector. Percussion fences. Flip-up tang sight inlet into tang. Finely checkered
pistolgrip stock of figured walnut. Round knob. Horn buttplate. Finely checkered splinter
fore-end with Deeley-style release.
Condition: Fine, as partially redone. Barrels show 90 - 95%
re-browned finish with some slight dents. Bright shotgun barrels with some frosting. Right
barrel shows an area of fine pitting near breech. Rifle barrel shows well-defined rifling
with some fine pitting. Cleaned action shows a silver-gray finish with some older fine
pitting. Barrels/action shows some looseness. Right lock shows a hair-trigger. Horn
buttplate shows losses and wear. Stock shows nicks, scratches and scrapes. Fore-end shows
handling marks. Checkering is partially filled.
Note: Note: This gun has 12 gauge chambers and 10 gauge diameter barrels. It may have
been designed for thin wall brass cases. However, gun should be proved prior to use.
