Charles Daly Drilling Hammer Rifle-Shotgun Combination with Side Lever Barrel Release
System
Serial no. 28736, 12 gauge top barrels, full and improved chokes, 30-inch Damascus
barrel cluster with matted solid top rib, bead on blade front sight, hinged and notched
blade rear sight flips up for firing rifle barrel, folding peep sight in upper tang; rifle
barrel likely chambered for 9.3 centerfire caliber; rebounding firing pins mounted in
recoil shields for shotgun barrels; extractors; double triggers; top lever switch engaging
rifle barrel for firing. German proof markings on bottom of barrel lug, finely engraved
breech and sidelocks, each marked CHARLES DALY; engraved triggerguard and fore-end mounts;
checkered oil-finished walnut semi-pistolgrip stocks; composition buttplate.
Condition: Very good. 85% Damascus twist visible, with wear; light
denting in shotgun barrels, nicks and patina; rifle barrel gray patina, nicks. Brown and
gray patina to balance of steel, with light pitting, stocks with wear and nicks, mold
cleaning; buttplate worn. Bores very good to fine.
