12 Gauge Beretta Hammer Double Barrel Shotgun
Serial no. 79632. 12 gauge. 27 3/4 inch mono-blocked barrels with extension. Bar-action
lock and action engraved with open foliate scroll and a pointer and woodcock on sides of
locks. Low hammers. Sideclips. Square crossbolt. Checkered straight-grip stock of
lightly-figured walnut. Sling swivels. Maker's iron heelplate. Checkered splinter
fore-end. Sling swivels. Green canvas trunk case with leather trim and green baize
interior.
Condition: Very Good, as partially redone showing considerable use.
Barrels show a 95% re-blued finish with pitting under the fore-end. Left barrel shows some
small dents. Bores show light pitting, more extensive in right barrel. Action shows a
silver-brown patina. Action/barrels show slight looseness. Stock shows wood repairs with
epoxy filler. Checkering shows considerable wear with areas of pattern-only. Refinished
stock shows nicks and scratches. Fore-end shows deep nick and one inch loss to edge. Case
in very good condition, handle is loose in case.
