Fine U.S. Martially Marked Model 1811 Flintlock Pistol by Simeon North
.74 caliber smoothbore, 8 5/8-inch round barrel, with P/US on breech; barrel left side
also marked with sunken eagle head and CT and V; lock with American eagle motif over U
STATES forward of hammer; S.NORTH/BERLIN./CON. markings at tail of lock; P on backstrap to
rear of top screw; brass flashpan; brass buttplate, triggerguard, sideplate and ramrod
ferrule; otherwise bright steel mountings; oil-finished walnut stock with U.S. Ordnance
inspector mark V over HHP on left side. Tiny V on various screws and on sideplate. Breech
plug marked 74, as is the stock.
Condition: Fine. Gray patina to steel, with pitting; mellow patina to
brass; stock with nicks, marks. Old replacement frizzen.
