Fine U.S. Martially Marked Model 1811 Simeon North Pistol, Arsenal Conversion to
Percussion
.69 caliber smoothbore, 8 3/4-inch round barrel with US, sunken eagle head over CT
stamp and V at breech; lock with American eagle motif above U STATES forward of hammer;
S.NORTH/BERLIN./CON. markings at tail of lock; brass flashpan remnant with steel
conversion bolster; brass buttcap, triggerguard, sideplate and ramrod ferrule; otherwise
parts of browned steel, though lock may have been bright; oil-finished walnut stock with
U.S. inspector marking V/HHP on left side opposite lock.
Condition: Fine. 90% browned finish, fading; light nicks; nipple
partially corroded. Mellow patina to brass; stock with nicks, minor crack from rear of
lock and on left side at barrel breech.
Note: One of the best conditioned Model 1811 arsenal conversions known.
