U.S. Springfield Model 1795 Flintlock Musket
.69 caliber, 41 1/2-inch barrel with three iron bands and bayonet lug. No markings on
barrel. Lock faintly marked: US/[eagle]/Springfield/1812. Standard walnut stock with US
cartouche opposite lock and stamped: "A" behind tang. Buttplate marked: 1812.
Sling eyes. No sling mounts present.
Condition: Very good. Metal showing brown patina and minor pitting
near breech. Wood very good, showing scattered wear; dents and blemishes. Minor hairline
cracks in buttstock and in front of lock. No sling mounts present.
