"SWISS ABERCROMBIE & FITCH LUGER PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. SN 3082i. Cal. 9 mm. Extremely rare Abercrombie & Fitch Swiss Luger (only 50 ever made), with 4-3/4" bbl, "ABERCROMBIE & FITCH Co. NEW YORK" & "MADE IN SWITZERLAND" on top of bbl. It has Geneva cross & sunburst over chamber, DWM scroll on front toggle link, grip safety & proper reinforced frame with re-enforcing rib across back of frame well. Accompanied by an un-numbered aluminum base magazine marked "MADE IN GERMANY" on left side of body. Also accompanied by an orig brown leather holster with Abercrombie & Fitch cartouche on back. Inside flap is marked "Lieut. Roger H. Williams / R.C.A.". Altogether a very rare & desirable variation with a rare holster. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection CONDITION: Extremely fine, all numbered parts are matching. Overall retains 96-97% strong orig factory blue with slight sharp edge wear, some dulling to back strap & a spot of thinning & a couple of small scratches on front strap and retains about 85% orig straw colors, thin on safety lever. Grips are sound with a few chipped diamonds & some oil staining, especially on left side with lighter wear on right side. Magazine is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. Holster has light flexing on flap with light wear elsewhere and retains most of its orig brown finish. 4-36104 JR211 & BS (14,000-18,000)"
