"SWISS 1929 RED GRIP LUGER & HOLSTER RIG. SN 55869. Cal. 30 Luger. Usual 1929 configuration with 4-3/4" bbl, grip safety & German cross & shield on toggle link. Fitted with red composite grips & magazine bottom, which is the most rare of three colors encountered in the Model 1929. The marking "2.39" in frame well indicates this pistol was manufactured in February 1939. Rear of frame is stamped with a small round cartouche that contains an "F", a curved "W" and a "+" sign. Accompanied by an orig Swiss brown leather holster marked with cartouche on back "T.E. BILL / W.A. BERN" over number "44". Holster is complete with orig shoulder strap with belt loops on back. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Retains over 99% orig blue. Grips & magazine are near mint. Mechanics are crisp & bore is virtually new, probably unfired.
