"SWISS LUGER WITH HOLSTER MODEL 1929 . SN P26593. Cal. 30 Luger. Black variation of Model 1929 Swiss Luger with 4-3/4" bbl with German cross & shield on front toggle link, black composition grips & magazine base & a grip safety. Stamped "8.46" in frame well, indicating it was manufactured August 1946. Stamped in mainspring well is a small rifle with fixed bayonet. Most small parts have a tiny "CH" & Geneva cross. There is a taped piece of paper inside left grip which reads "Braendli, Hans / Sch. Kan. Bttr. M/45 / Friedhof Str. 66 / Zurich 9/48 / P 69839 / AHV202.22.345". Accompanied by an orig brown leather Swiss holster that is marked on back between belt loops "A. Baumgartner / Sattler / ROOT" in an oval cartouche with "40" underneath. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Overall retains about 98% strong orig factory blue with a few light scratches under bbl & slight muzzle edge wear with some light holster wear on front ends of frame rails. Grips are sharp with a few minor chipped diamond points. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. Holster is extremely fine, no straps. 4-36177 JR195 & BS (2,000-3,000)"
