Rare Boxed "Ladies Companion" Pepperbox by Continental Arms Co.
Serial no. 225, .22 rimfire caliber, 5-shot barrel cluster measuring 2 1/2-inches,
blued, with silver-plated steel frame; varnished rosewood grips; standard maker, Norwich
address and patent marking on breech. Pasteboard box with gold imprint of image of gun and
advertising on lid; inside of lid with pencil inscription: "A six shooter
pistol".
Condition: Excellent, with 75% blue, light patina; 98% silver, light
blistering; grips excellent. Box fine with light wear.
