Kentucky Rifle Conversion from Flintlock, c. 1830
.41 caliber percussion, with 39 3/4-inch octagonal rifled barrel; open sporting rear
sight, German silver blade front sight dovetailed near muzzle; brass mountings, including
oval patchbox, double set triggers; plain cheekpiece; brass sideplate. Full length walnut
stock with brass fore-end cap and ramrod ferrules. Hickory ramrod.
Condition: Good to very good. Pitting; brown patina to steel; minor
cracks; repairs to stock at front of lock, and on fore-end at muzzle; old revarnish to
stock. Some wood missing around lock. Fore-end cap likely old replacement.
