U.S. Martially Marked Model 1808 Simeon North Pistol, Arsenal Conversion to Percussion
.69 caliber smoothbore, 10 1/8-inch round barrel; lock with U STATES forward of hammer;
S.NORTH/BERLIN/CON. markings at tail of lock; brass flashpan remnant with steel conversion
bolster; brass buttcap, triggerguard, sideplate and ramrod ferrule; otherwise parts of
browned steel; oil-finished walnut stock with no visible inspector marking.
Condition: Very good to fine. 95% browned finish; light nicks. Mellow
patina to brass; stock with nicks, marks, cracks; wedge at front of fore-end to prevent
separation. Brass flashpan insert is cracked. Lock plate shows a crack above the hammer
pivot.
