Scarce U.S. Hall Model 1836 Breechloading Percussion Carbine, Dated 1839
.64 caliber smoothbore, 23-inch round barrel with open sights and two pinned steel
bands. Case-hardened breechblock marked: J.H. Hall/US/1839. Retractable 22 1/4-inch
ramrod-style bayonet. Eye-bolt style sling ring. Spur-style breech release. Standard
walnut stock with no inspector cartouches. Initials WTL lightly carved in left side of
buttstock.
Condition: Excellent. 100% original, retaining approximately 95-98%
brown finish with scattered light wear to relief edges. Solid wood with minor marks
present. One tiny sliver crack on right side under frame.
Note: 2020 of this model were manufactured at the Harpers Ferry Armory.
