U.S. Hall-North Model 1840 Type II Breechloading Percussion Carbine, Dated 1841
Unserialized. .52 caliber, 21-inch rifled barrelwith open sights and two steel bands.
Browned finish. Martial blue breechblock marked: U.S./S. North/Midtn/Conn./1841. Saddle
ring and bar. "Fishtail" lever. Standard walnut stock with crisp WAT and DMN
inspector cartouches. Steel ramrod. Completely original, a fine example of this model.
Condition: Excellent to mint, retaining approximately 95-99% finish
with scattered light wear to relief edges. Breechblock retaining 100% bright transparent
martial blue finish. Excellent wood with minor dents and blemishes.
