Smith Breechloading Carbine
Serial no. 4861, .52caliber, 21 1/2-inch part round/part octagonal barrel with pinned
german silver blade-type front sight and short ladder-type rear sight. Left side of barrel
marked "B" at breech. Blued finish. Fire-blued barrel latch strap. Case-hardened
hammer and action with correct address and markings. Saddle ring and bar. Standard walnut
stocks with buttstock marked: G.P.
Condition: Excellent to mint. Retaining approximately 95-98% finish
with wear to buttplate and light fading of case-hardening. Wood near mint.
