Rare British-Marked Starr Cartridge Carbine
Serial no. 38363, .52 caliber, 21-inch blued barrel with standard military sights,
British broad arrows and S.T.B. inspector stamp. Marked at breech: 38363. Case-hardened
falling block action with lock marked: Starr Arms Co./Yonkers, N.Y. Side hammer. Saddle
ring. Standard walnut stocks, the buttstock with two inspector cartouches and inspector
initials J.H. British WD Broad Arrow cartouche on right side of buttstock.
Condition: Excellent to mint. Approximately 95-100% finish with
slight handling wear present. Faded but present case-hardening. Excellent wood with only
minor marks.
