Scarce J. and F. Garrett and Company Confederate Percussion Pistol
Serial no. 37, .54 caliber percussion smoothbore, 8 1/2-inch round barrel; barrel
finished bright, as was brass frame; left side of round barrel at breech with stamping:
US/NWP/P; varnished walnut grips. 37 stamped on left side of grip frame, visible when left
panel removed.
Condition: Very good. Gray and brown patina to steel, old cleaning
and light surface pitting; mellow patina, nicks, to brass; grips with 95% varnish, nicks
and wear.
