U.S. Martially Marked Harpers Ferry Model 1805 Flintlock Pistol, Serial Number 462,
Dated 1807
.54 caliber smoothbore, 10 1/16-inch round barrel; lock with American eagle and shield
over US forward of hammer; HARPERS/FERRY/1807 at tail of lock; barrel breech with number
462 and US and eagle head over P within sunken ovals; walnut stock with faint SW inspector
markings on left side opposite lock; brass mounts; hickory ramrod with swelled tip.
Condition: Very good to fine. Gray and brown patina to steel with
spots pitting; sharp markings; stock with nicks, marks and wear, chip at front of
lockplate; possibly replaced hammer and wedge; patina and slight bend in triggerguard.
