U.S. Martially Marked Harpers Ferry Model 1805 Flintlock Pistol, Serial Number 1627,
Dated 1808
.54 caliber smoothbore, 10 1/8-inch round barrel; lock with American eagle and shield
over US forward of hammer; HARPERS/FERRY/1808 at tail of lock; barrel breech with number
1627 and US and eagle head over P within sunken ovals; walnut stock with inspector
markings lightly visible; brass mounts.
Condition: Very good. Gray and brown patina; pitting. Stock with
nicks, marks on left side opposite lock; light dent to fore-end brass band. Ramrod
missing.
