U.S. Harpers Ferry Hall Model 1819 Breechloading Conversion Rifle
Unserialized. .52 caliber, Single-shot, 32 5/8-inch barrel with open sights and three
pin-fastened steel barrel bands. Original brown lacquer finish. Case-hardened breechblock
marked: J.H. Hall/H. Ferry/U.S./1832. Trigger-type breech release. Standard walnut stock.
No cartouches which is correct for this model [described in the June 1985 issue of the Gun
Report]. Steel ramrod. Sling mounts.
Condition: Excellent. Retaining approximately 80-85% brown finish.
Breechblock retaining approximately 40-50% case-hardening with scattered light pitting.
Wood excellent with only minor wear and marks.
