Vermont
.54 caliber, 33-inch barrel with open sights and rare attached bayonet locking ring
[numbered 4763]. Two brass bands. Breech marked: US/S.W./V/P/[eaglehead].Tang marked:
1850. Brown lacquer finish. Case-hardened hammer and lock marked: Robbins/ &
/Lawrence/U.S./Windsor/Vt./1850. Standard walnut stock with brass hardware and patchbox.
Crisp WAT and LM inspector cartouches. Buttplate marked: U.S. Steel ramrod with brass tip.
Sling mounts. Period leather sling.
Condition: Excellent for this model, retaining approximately 95-99%
finish with slight wear in evidence. Hammer and lock retaining faded case-hardening. Wood
excellent with minor dents and bruises.
